Claire Gaynor debut album Devotion released April 30th catalogue No. LHPCD103.
It was aged 13 that Claire bought her first guitar setting her sights on the songwriting talents of the late great Sandy Denny and later Kim Richey, Shawn Colvin and Marcus Hummon to name but a few and began composing songs, arranging harmonies, learning fiddle piano and bass along the way. Later, tours of North America with the Sweet Soul Sisters followed, with TV and radio appearances both at home and abroad.
For the new album the melodies came first, and soon Vince Gills Nashville fiddle player John Permenter, Sarah Jory, the female pedal steel player, Simon Nicol and Chris Leslie members of Fairport convention all came on board to record Devotion.
in the tradition of Sheryl Crow & Shania Twain , this one is a gutsy collection of catchy songs which have already taken US radio by storm......the Daily Mail.
